Future Bid
What is a future bid?
The Future Bid feature on the website will automatically make bids for you, even if you're not in front of your computer! When the timer ticks very low, the system will automatically take a bid out of your account and place a bid on a bag of your choosing, giving you a chance to win a bag even if you're not available to bid on the bag directly.
How does it work?
Well, first of all you want to make sure there are some bids in your account. Click on the photo of the item of your choosing. In the detailed view, in the lower right hand corner of the page, under "Add a Future Bid" you will see three boxes.
Minimum Price:
This is the price in which you want your bids to start automatically drafting from your bids bank. For example, if a bag is currently at $4.50, you might say you want your Future Bids to kick in at $5.00. Simply add 5.00 into this field (without the "$" sign).
Maximum Price:
This is the price you want your bids to STOP automatically drafting from your account. If you want your Future Bids to automatically draft until, say, the bag reaches $10.00, simply add the value 10.00 to this field (without the "$" sign).
Number of Bids to use:
This is the maximum amount of bids you want drafted from your account. If you have 100 bids in your bids bank, and you only want to use 25 for a specific bag, simply enter "25" into this field. If the current bag price is within the Minimum Price and Maximum Price you set above, and the timer gets really low, it will place a bid from your account until it's used up as many as you enter in the "Number of Bids" field.
Hint: If you only have 25 bids in your account and you tell the system to use 50, it will only use as many as you have in your account.
