How does it work?
These auctions are not like normal auctions like an eBay style format.  Members purchase bid packages to use on desired bags auctions.  Once a bid is placed on a bag, the price increases by 1 penny and 10 seconds are added to the auction timer (if the timer is less than 30 seconds).  If you are the current highest bidder, you will win the bag for the amount shown when the timer runs out if no one bids after you.  If someone does bid after you before the timer expires, the price of the bag will increase by 1 penny and 10 seconds will be added to the timer.  This process continues until the timer expires and no one else bids on a bag.  The last bidder will win the item for the final price shown.

Generally speaking, someone who has more bids in her/his account has a higher chance of winning an item, but strategically placed bids (at the correct time) prove to be the most beneficial.  We recommend sitting back and watching the nature of some of the auctions before jumping in and placing bids.  This will give you a better understanding of the bidding process and will supply you with a better advantage when you do decide to participate in an auction. 

Just follow these three short steps to get you bidding and winning purses:

-  Create an account
-  Purchase some bids (you receive 5 free bids just for joining)
-  Bid on the purse(s) you want to win

Creating an account
Click here to register for an account.  Complete the form and click Register at the bottom of the page.  Penny Purses requires you to confirm ownership of the email address you provided, and will send you an email with the subject “Account Activation - Pennypurses.com”.

Before you can login and start bidding, you must click on the link provided in the email to activate your account
Once you have created your account, you will receive a COMPLIMENTARY 5 FREE BIDS!
 

Purchase some bids
After you have registered and logged in, click My Account at the top of the website.  Under the My Details section, click Purchase Bids.

Choose a package of bids you would like to purchase.  The higher bid package you choose, the cheaper each bid will be!  Bid packages range from 10 bids to a generous package of 150.  The more bids you purchase, the greater chances you have of winning your favorite bag.

Click the package you would like and then click Purchase this package.  You will be forwarded to the PayPal payment gateway.  If you already have a PayPal account, login and purchase bids.  Otherwise, click Continue and pay securely with your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card, without creating an account.


 

Bid on the purse(s) you want to win
Now all that’s left is to bid on one or more purses for your chances to win!  Return to the homepage to view featured auctions, or click “All Categories” and choose the style and brand of item you would like to win.  Simply click “Bid” on the item you’d like to win.  If you are the final bidder when the auction timer runs out, you’ve won the item!
